Job Summary and Mission
This position contributes to Starbucks success by executing CPG customer headquarter plans into winning in-store plans executed through Acosta driving volume and share growth with all identified customers or customer groups.  The Retail Operations Manager is focused on specific CPG customers within assigned geographies. Their major focus is on advancing Starbucks brands at the point of purchase with each retailer within their geography. This position
is focused on building indispensable partnerships with targeted Customers through flawless execution of plans in retail stores across the U.S.
 
Models and acts in accordance with Starbucks guiding principles.

Summary of Key Responsibilities
Responsibilities and essential job functions include but are not limited to the following:
Leadership - Setting and delivering  goals to Acosta Merchandisng Teams:
-  Personally leads the  Acosta Merchandising Team efforts against the highest priority business and organizational initiatives
-  Ensures that collaborative relationships exist across the customer and Acosta organizations their assigned region.
-  Personally creates value to each and every CPG retailer through flawless execution of retailer headquarter merchandising and
promotional plans
-  Builds and maintains a wide network of information and resources that spans all levels internally and externally in order to set clear objectives and measures of success with and for our Acosta partners.
-  Develops, tracks and monitors results delivered by Acosta against assigned measures of success.  Establishes regularly scheduled reviews with Acosta to drive continuous improvement in execution against established goals and measures. Holds Acosta accountable for delivering to agreed upon objectives and measures.
-  Supports the implementation of CPG retailer-specific initiatives in retailer locations to ensure sales and brand share growth for Starbucks.
-  Connects Starbucks to the CPG customer, the industry, and the market place where the customer operates.  Is the voice of the CPG customer at store level back into the Starbucks organization.
 
Planning and Execution - Works with the
director to develop strategic and operational plans to manage execution,  measure results through efforts partnering with Acosta:
-  Gains clear understanding of CPG Customer Headquarter Team initiatives and key areas of focus to be clearly communicated to Acosta resulting in flawless execution of plans at CPG retail.
-  Communicate and measure tactical execution plans and results obtained against objectives set with Acosta
-  Has a broad and deep understanding of the current & future needs of the CPG customer
-  Leads the development and alignment of the retail execution plans with the customer through flawless execution of
assigned tactics with Acosta
-  Leads efforts in flawlessly communicating results against assigned CPG retailer objectives in a complete and timely manner back to Starbucks CPG Customer Headquarter Teams.  Make recommendations to these Teams to drive continuous improvement and overall
business growth.
-  Communicates and educates Acosta partners regarding Starbucks products, retail execution plans, measures of success, etc. to ensure flawless execution of CPG retailer operations plans.
-  Actively takes part in regularly scheduled meetings with Acosta leadership to review results to plan and areas where improvements must take place.
  
Business Requirements - Providing CPG functional expertise and executing functional responsibilities:
-  Develops relationships with critical decision makers at the customer store level as well as through Acosta to co-create agendas that benefit both Starbucks and the CPG customer's needs
-  Develops strong relationships influencing Acosta retail operations teams
-  Establishes the short and long term common goals through the CPG customer's organization at retail that creates an environment where Starbucks is valued and where our brands grow and
thrive in retail stores
-  Develops indispensible partnerships with the CPG customer(s) at retail across multiple levels of the retailer organization and departments at the customer.  Effectively works cross-functionally within the CPG customer, Starbucks and Acosta organizations.
-  Ensures a strong retail presence and compliance with Starbucks requirements
-  Increase consumer demand for Starbucks products by influencing the CPG customer's store level activity through merchandising and display initiatives at store
-  Works with director and Acosta partners to ensure store level execution meets company brand targets and pricing guidelines established with corporate MAPS program.  Report discrepancies directly to  director ot retail merchandising in a timely and complete manner.
 
Partner Development :
-  Successfully leverages and builds strong exceptional relationships with Acosta
partners that prioritizes Starbucks brands in store level merchandising and promotional activity
-  Plays a balanced role as representative of Starbucks, partner champion, and CPG customer advocate
-  Champions innovative ideas and solutions, shared learning's and continuous improvement within the team and the customer in the area of merchandising Starbucks brands within CPG retailer locations.
-  Creates an environment with Acosta partners that promotes a successful attitude when working on the Starbucks line of products.
-  Holds self, CPG Customer Headquarters Teams and Acosta accountable for developing and executing winning retailer-specific selling plans each month.
