Job Summary and MissionThis job contributes to Starbucks success by supporting strategic staffing goals to attract, develop and retain a high-quality diverse workforce. Concentrates on recruiting jobs up to director-level. Models and acts in accordance with Starbucks guiding principles.Summary of Key ResponsibilitiesResponsibilities and essential job functions include but are not limited to the following:
Develops and manages relationships with external parties to build a high quality and diverse candidate pool.
Engages in timely and appropriate communications with all candidates, hiring managers, vendors, generalists and other stakeholders.
Fosters relationships with high potential candidates for future opportunities. Ensures that candidates have a highly positive experience during the Starbucks recruitment and selection process.
Identifies focused recruitment strategy. Obtains required position approvals. Conducts post interview debrief
meetings to select finalists. Makes job offers, negotiates with candidates and closes offers.
Leads or supports special staffing projects and initiatives.
Manages the full-cycle recruiting process across a functional group or business unit. Ensures that the hiring process complies with Starbucks policies and procedures and with employment laws and regulations.
Proactively identifies and implements effective sourcing strategies. Continuously builds and sustains a high quality diverse candidate pipeline.
Supports new recruitment strategies. Consults with hiring managers on recruitment and interview process for current and future approved openings.
Utilizes an automated applicant tracking system in compliance with staffing requirements to support the recruitment process.
Works with Partner Resources generalists and business unit and department leaders to understand strategic business objectives and organizational design and to develop strategies to meet current and future staffing needs.
Summary of Experience
Experience in a high growth, fast-paced environment (3 years)
Human resources, staffing and recruitment or related functions (3 years)
Required Knowledge, Skills and Abilities
Ability to communicate clearly and concisely, both orally and in writing
Strong candidate assessment skills
Ability to develop and implement effective recruiting strategies
Ability to balance multiple priorities and meet deadlines
Ability to influence, consult and negotiate
Ability to work both independently and as part of a team
Strong analytical skills
Knowledge of employee relations, employment law, and training and development
Organizational skills
Proficient in Microsoft Word and Excel, applicant tracking systems and the Internet as a recruitment resource
Ability to generate candidates
Knowledge of applicable departmental or business unit practices and requirements
Staffing skills, including reporting, measurement, use of automated staffing systems and process development
