Senior Corporate Recruiter/Generalist in New York
First Quality is a privately-held group of manufacturing companies who are leaders in their respective fields. The organization is run by hands-on owners with dynamic expansion plans to significantly increase the size of the business over the next few years. To support this growth, we are seeking a Senior Corporate Recruiter/Generalist responsible for recruiting both exempt and nonexempt positions. This position will be based at First Quality Headquarters’ office located in Great Neck, New York.
Primary responsibilities include:
Work with senior executives to identify and attract high quality candidates that will support First Quality’s rapid growth.
Align with business leaders to understand their recruiting needs and develop networks of contacts within their respective disciplines.
Develop recruiting and interviewing plans for open positions.
Work with all FQ Recruiters to develop a world class Recruiting organization which includes development of online selection tools, interviewing skills training for managers, etc.
Interact and participate in the business processes of a wide range of disciplines
Review applications and interview applicants to obtain work history, education, training, job skills and salary requirements and to provide information about the organization and position.
Screen and refer candidates for additional interviews with others in the organization.
Utilize internet online recruiting sources and social networks, recommendations to identify and recruit candidates and research new ways of using the internet for recruitment.
Work with external recruiters and employment agencies to identify and recruit candidates.
Participate in, and set up displays at job fairs when necessary.
Develop and maintain contacts with schools, alumni groups and other public organizations to find and attract applicants.
Provide information on company facilities and job opportunities to potential applicants.
Develop a pipeline of applicants for anticipated openings.
Conduct follow-up meetings with managers to determine the effectiveness of recruiting plans and implementation and to ensure new employees are successful.
Promote First Quality Enterprises and an employer of choice by promoting its employee rewards programs and career opportunities.
Prepare and send new offer packages.
Develop and conduct new employee onboarding.
Will provide Generalist support to Headquarter Human Resources.
The ideal candidate should possess the following:
Bachelor’s Degree in Human Resources or associated discipline.
Minimum of 10 years of related experience in HR/Recruiting.
Expertise utilizing a variety of recruiting concepts/practices to source candidates.
Experience in a manufacturing environment is an absolute MUST.
Ability to interact with all levels of management throughout the organization.
Strong written and verbal communication skills.
Excellent computer skills.
Ability and willingness to travel.
