This is an interim role for 6 months to work alongside the Head of HR, District Managers and wider HR team to provide proactive and commercially focused advice, information and practical guidance concerning HR issues, including employment legislation and policy related matters. Responsible for two/three districts the role involves travel and an ability to prioritise and influence store managers.
Main duties and responsibilities:
*Providing advice, support and coaching to District Managers / Store Managers and colleagues on ER issues
*Conducting all ER issues for example grievances, disciplinary hearings, appeal hearings, Employment Tribunals preparation, ensuring the appropriate correspondence is sent out and actions taken to prevent re-occurrence
*Monitor and manage Maternity and Long Term sick employees including meetings, correspondence and counselling employees
*Produce management information and reports for the Head of HR identifying for example trends in training requirements, trends in absence, trends in ER issues
*Develop, produce and maintain employment policies, procedures and management guidance notes and ensure that these policies and procedures are clearly documented and available to staff
Essential Requirements:
*Working knowledge of employee relations
*CIPD qualified
*Multi site experience preferably in a retail or similar sector environment
*Extensive travel c3/4 days out in the South of the country ranging from sites in Leamington Spa to the South Coast and one day per week at head office in Surrey.
