What you need for this position:
- 8+ years of experience in employee relations for multi-state operations
- Experience working within a technology/software company is a must
- Strong background in conflict resolution, problem solving and performance management
- Must demonstrate a proactive approach to Employee Relations issue avoidance thorough understanding of human resources practices and regulations
- Knowledge of employment labor laws across multiple states with a focus in California, New York, Texas, Virginia and Illinois
- Past experience in an organization with Affirmative Action Programs
- Strong knowledge of federal and state employment laws, compliance issues, and legal risks
- Experience within large, complex organizations where you have a demonstrated track record of success
- Experience with diversity-related initiatives
- Proficiency in MS Office Suite and HRIS systems
- Bachelor level degree in HR, Employment Law, Organizational Development, or related field
What you'll be doing:
- Oversee day-to-day employee relations issues, respond to employee relations issues with management and staff, conduct investigations, participate in handling legal charges, and assist with the resolution of issues
- Investigate all complaints and coordinate a prompt resolution ensuring effective investigation, documentation, and corrective action plans in accordance with Company, Federal and State guidelines
- Contribute to the design, development, and communication of corporate policies and procedures, programs and delivery methods promoting positive employee relations
- Consistently review, interpret, administer and ensure compliance with federal and state employment laws and company policies and procedures
- Track employee issues and evaluate exit interviews for trends
- Partner with Division leaders to develop proactive measures to help minimize issues that are identified
- Process terminations, generate separation agreements, and conduct exit interviews in conjunction with Director of HR
