Job Description
Our client is a leading global consumer products company built around a dynamic portfolio of differentiated, world-class brands with over 12,000 employees worldwide.
As a result of ongoing growth they seek to recruit an experienced, high caliber professional to join the team as Director of Human Resources, Asia Operations. This role will be based in Hong Kong and report to the Managing Director of Asia Operations. The incumbent will lead the Human Resources function for Asia Pacific by providing support of local leaders under the direction of MD, Asia and the Vice President of Human Resources.
Scope of Responsibilities:

Lead the China based HR team;
*
Support MD AP directly and all AP employees;
*
Provide all labor needs for the region;
*
Liaise closely with local leaders and the VP, HR, to ensure activities are closely coordinated between the US and AP;
*
Ensure compliance with local labor laws;
*
Report all issues to the leadership with recommended solutions;
*
Provide administration and/or over site over pay and benefit programs for the region;
*
Establish and maintain positive employee relations and morale to ensure stability and continuity of operations;
*
Provide employee with welfare, health and quality of life;
*
Ensure all policies are followed;
*
Manage employee safety program;
*
Manage employee payroll and tax related programs.
Candidate Specifications:
*
Bachelor degree, Master is a plus;
*
Minimum 15 years in Human Resources with 8 years in a leadership role;
*
Experience as a HR head to manage the manufacturers in China would be a must;
*
Familiar with Hong Kong and China labor laws;
*
Experienced in Expatriate compensation and issues;
*
Proficient in Human Resource Information Systems;
*
Fluent in written and spoken English and Chinese;
*
Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to lead team to achieve results.
